A few specific fixes for blanchardslaw.co.uk

Blanchards Law · Henley head office · website rebuild

I rebuild small-firm websites in my spare time when I can see they are leaving instructions on the table. I opened the Henley head office page on a phone and noticed three things in ten minutes. Three findings below, then a working rebuild of the homepage you can click through.

19-21 Market Place · Henley-on-Thames · RG9 2AA

The Henley head office, rebuilt as one calm page.

Finding 01

The homepage cycles six near-identical hero slides, and not one of them names a partner, a Chambers ranking, or a single office.

What I saw

The Slider Revolution hero on the homepage cycles through six slides. The same four words appear on every slide (Trust, Clarity, Guidance, Empathy). No slide names Punam Denley, Helen Habershon, Susan Andrews, or Christine Plews. No slide names the Chambers UK 2026 ranking, the Legal 500 Tier 3 listing, the Resolution membership held by every solicitor, or the three FMC-accredited mediators on the team. No slide names a single one of the four offices: Henley, Marlow, Beaconsfield or London. A visitor sees the same value-words screen six times if they linger.

What the rebuild does about it

The rebuild replaces the carousel with a single editorial hero that names the Market Place office, the Chambers Band 4 Thames Valley ranking, the Resolution Code of Practice, and the FMC mediation arm. Every section below the hero takes the visitor one click closer to a named partner with an SRA roll number.

6 identical value-word slides → 1 editorial hero, 4 named partner pathways
Finding 02

The Open Graph card image is the still frame of a 2020 YouTube clip, not a photograph of the office or any partner.

What I saw

The og:image set on the homepage is `wp-content/uploads/2020/02/iu-pu0i1w7q.jpg`, a 1280 by 720 still frame whose filename matches a YouTube video ID. When a client forwards the firm URL in WhatsApp, iMessage, or Slack the unfurl renders a five-year-old auto-extracted video freeze frame rather than the 19-21 Market Place shopfront, the Town Hall facade opposite the office, or a partner photograph. The og:title is the single word "Home".

What the rebuild does about it

The rebuild ships a real og:image hosted on the same domain, sized for the WhatsApp and iMessage unfurlers, of the Market Place looking toward the Town Hall. The og:title gives the firm name, the head office town, and the family-law specialism in one line. Twitter Card meta included for the same reason.

Finding 03

The only LocalBusiness JSON-LD declares the firm open on Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 5, and Google now reads that into the Open now badge.

What I saw

The Yoast-generated `Organization` and `Place` JSON-LD on the homepage declares opening hours of 09:00 to 17:00 Monday through Sunday inclusive. Saturday and Sunday opening for an appointment-only family-law practice with a 0333 non-geographic line is not the rota the firm actually runs. The same block declares an empty `telephone` array, no `LegalService` type, no `AggregateRating` despite the four named testimonials on the homepage, no Person schema for any of the ten SRA-registered solicitors. Google Search now uses that incorrect opening-hours block to set the "Open now" badge against Blanchards on a Sunday afternoon.

What the rebuild does about it

The rebuild ships a correct `LegalService` JSON-LD with appointment-only opening hours, the 0333 line in E.164 format, the SRA 565657 identifier, a `FAQPage` block for the homepage FAQ, and a `Person` block for the founder. The Saturday and Sunday badge stops appearing within the next Google crawl.

opening hours · Mon-Sun 09:00-17:00 (wrong) → LegalService schema, by-appointment hours

If the proposal lands, reply with two or three twenty-minute slots in the next ten days for a video call. I take on three Thames Valley builds this quarter, and the first confirmed wins the slot. If I do not hear back by 4 June 2026, the proposal site comes down.
